2011 Husqvarna TE 125 and 2011 Husqvarna SMS4 125, New Additions

2011 Husqvarna TE 125 and 2011 Husqvarna SMS4 125 Going head to Head with the Big Guns

Husqvarna’s growing line-up has once again been updated, going head-to-head with bigger manufacturers, this time out to grab the niche market that is the learner legal, road-goers… and they’ve certainly turned some heads, and attitudes at that.

This being Husqvarna, any part of the market left unclad by Husky’s strictly enforced red and white uniform is just not good enough, so, with BMW’s wallet cowering in the corner, Husky and their 100-plus years of expertise and know-how designed two new models; the 2011 Husqvarna TE 125 & 2011 Husqvarna SMS4 125 crammed into their line-up filling holes that were previously up to other manufacturers to fill.

2011 Husqvarna SMS4 125 could it have the most eye catching design's of the year

The new models, built around the same baby, 4-stroke, 125cc engine have been designed to meet Husky’s aggressive, yet appealing ergonomic standards, the 2011 Husqvarna TE 125 sporting Husky’s race team colours and the 2011 Husqvarna SMS4 125 dressed in white, providing extra eye candy. Good move Husky, captivating teenager’s attention with pretty curves and fine looks, but that’s merely the start of producing a bike that will have a portion of the market proudly flying the Husky flag.

The 2011 Husqvarna TE 125 for total comfort

The riding position has been meticulously designed for total comfort and control, a light weight 6-speed gearbox, heaps of power from a liquid cooled SOHC, 4 valve 125cc engine and a title winning weight of just 117kg. The bikes, being designed for separate environments do obviously have their differences; the TE125, optimized for both dirt and road riding has a 21” front and 18” rear wheel similar to the rest of the off-road racing line up whilst the SMS4 125 road/track bike bears 17” wheels, allowing for an 140mm rear tyre for maximum grip. Husqvarna have also made use of Brembo brakes and large 220/260mm disks to control the torquey engine. Husqvarna have even further catered for learners and new riders by including an electric starter motor to save frustration from stalls and engine tuning to provide the rider with smooth, controllable power.
