Claremont Comic Book Show 2
Hi Thunderscorpion here with my review of the Claremont comic book show and animation festival. For starters I got there at 11.30 and did not see any animation screening maybe I missed it I don’t known but the rest of the show wasn’t much better there was actually less there than last time. There was like three stands with comic and mostly super hero stuff, but it wasn’t a complete waste of my time.  I bought some comics that I was looking a while for, Garth Enni’s War is Hell: The first flight of the phantom eagle.  I got all five issue’s for $13.00 so that was cool I’ll do a review of it when I’m finished reading it. After the event I went to my local comic shop and got 28 Days Later #13 and Aliens vs Predator #5 so here’s their review.
Aliens vs Predator #5
With the jamming devices disabled and the aliens and evil predator warriors defeated the enemy predator ship retreats from the planet, as the predators and marines regroup and pursue the enemy predator ship to their home world, they find their planet and come under attacked in its orbit. As the marines and predators drop ships land to combat the evil predators and aliens in the planet’s swampy tropical terrain a marine platoon is ambushed and a synthetic soldier is taken by the enemy predators. The issue ends with the marine’s discussing a plan to defeat the evil predators using an alien queen? The art seems rushed but it was enjoyable and there was some good action.   (7 out of 10)Â
28 Days Later #13
The issue starts off with the group being stranded on the side of the road after there hummve gets a flat tire Selena and Derrick argue as Clint discovers a car they then drive along until they are stopped by a damaged bridge. While trying to escape the car Selena nearly falls to her death before being saved by Clint and Derrick as they perform a balancing act with the car in order to pull Selena to safety after the ordeal they head to a train station in the hopes of riding it to London. While Derrick and Clint try to control the train, Selena searches the train for food only to discover that there are infected on board and the only way to seperate that part of the train with the infected, is if one of them stays behind. The art has changed again I wish they would just stick with one good art style.  The art in this issue makes the characters look unattractive but the story was good.  (7 out of 10)
