Target Zero

I've mocked a lot of things on this blog, overly religious people, dogs, Cupar but with all of those I wasn't being entirely serious. A lot of it was just done for comedic effect but every word I say about the following people I mean. The people I'm going to insult tonight are some of the most retarded, moronic and genuinely stupid people around. Today I'm going to tell you about the charity organisation called BRAKE . Boo fucking hoo, not even bikes have zero emissions due to the fact they have to be manufactured. When will people learn that the advantages that cars bring heavily outweigh the supposed cons? Anyway, I'm not going to get sidetracked by this, instead I'm just going to go through each of the ways they plan to completely remove road traffic accidents from our roads. Each set of bullet points is split into four sections. The first section is entitled: The Road. They want to reduce carbon emissions and unfortunately for them 20mph is a very fuel inefficient speed to drive at due to the fact you generally have to be in 2nd gear to maintain this kind of slow pace without accidentally creeping up to 30mph without realising it. I dread to think how low they want the limit on residential streets. It's bad enough having morons do 40 in front of you at the best of times, imagine how slow they'd start going if 40 became the legal maximum. The 20 on back roads really winds me up. On a local level, see how long it takes you to get from Strathkinness to Dairsie at 20mph. To apply that to a slightly more serious situation, imagine a village in the Highlands like Durness where you are 60+ miles from the next large town. Imagine the journey taking you 3 to 4 hours just because you're on a single track road and you have to do 20mph all the way in case some kids are roaming free in a nearby field. The people who actually think this stuff is a good idea need to have a good, long think about how stupid they are. I don't even understand how this would work. People don't just...
