I have used Carlon in the past, and they are OK, but this one is a much better design.The horizontal/vertical hinges are designed as either/or in use, whereas the Carlon latches both at once which makes them harder to open.The Taymac seemed easier to assemble with the outlet and box too. I also like the bigger line knock outs. I'll use these from now on.This is not the first time I have found big name Carlon to be inferior to the competitors.
