Monday, I started back to work. My boss was in which is always a really cool time. Most of my bosses have been great and I'm be busier when they're around so I tend to enjoy these times. This job is no exception. I learn so much everyday and when the others are in the office, there's ideas flying all around. I'm beginning to understand where I can help here. It's like designing my job as we go along. I have a solid 12 years of sales and marketing to put to use. I shook my head the other day and said "I wish I would've paid better attention in government class in high school. I also have to get back to diplomacy. I've always been a person who speaks her mind straightforward. I can still do that but I need to be more well versed on all the issues related to what I'm doing. I keep learning but there is so much more to learn. It's a massive problem that is definitely systemic. Everything is touched by human trafficking and especially the sex industries. This is how it's been ever since I starting realizing what was really happening due to porn. The more I look, the more I learn and it ain't pretty. I'm glad I've got good things happening because it's overwhelming to understand what is happening all around us. In the news this week, I've heard about a teen girl who commited suicide after suffering extensive bullying, I've seen a bill introduced to address teenage sexting, I've heard about a teen girl who sold her 7 year old sister for sex and a girl fighting for her life after her head being kicked in by some teenage boy wearing steel toed boots. Our youth is in crisis and it seems everyone is just starting to realize it. The issues are starting to be addressed but like usual, parents and the government are way behind the eight ball. Sex is in the hands of our teenagers yet no one wants to talk about the porn content that drives them. It's not just porn, it's hollywood and the games they play. Life is not good for our kids and they are acting out in so many ways. Not sure...
